The Art That Is Art Deco Interior Design

Although art deco interior design is often thought of as a design from the past, there was once a time where this was seen as a thing before its time and of extreme elegance. Between the years of 1920 and 1939, art deco interior design and architecture was at its most popular points in history. You could look just about anywhere and see this “ultra modern” design also being displayed in fashion, paintings, films, and in industrial design.

Really Getting the Feel for Asian Interior Design

Many people think that Asian interior design means throwing up a few Oriental language symbols on the walls and a gong and you are done. However, there is a great deal of ingenuity that goes into Asian interior design that was derived from centuries of experimentation

The Asian cultures are very good at taking what has been learned over the years and constantly adapting and modifying it to become part of contemporary design methods. It is not unusual to see Asian interior design in the United States but if all you are looking at is a Chinese restaurant then you really are not seeing true Asian interior design at work. Real Asian interior design is very different and something most Western cultures have not really experienced but unknowingly deal with every day.

Competition Can Be Fierce in the Best Interior Design Schools

There are over 130 schools and colleges in North America that deal specifically with interior design and they are accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research which sets the standards for policy as well as curriculum. They all have a tough application process which is par for the course in the best interior design schools. Of course, there are even more schools out there for interior design but they do not have the accreditation.

Basic Elements of Church Interior Design

When you say the word church you are obviously referring to a Christian church and in the world of the Christian church there are some basic elements of church interior design that are almost always present, and in some cases required, regardless of which church you go to.

Of course the elements of church interior design are religious in nature although some of them have changed in stature over the years. In Medieval times a church would sometimes get ransacked just for its stained glass windows as these windows were seen as valuable treasure at the time. Of course today stained glass windows are still an important part of church interior design but they are hardly considered treasure anymore even though stained glass windows can get very expensive.

However, if you’re looking to become employed as an interior designer, many employers may require that degree.
